The Castellón Municipal Tourism Board is especially committed to protecting the personal data of the users of the website services.

Through this notice, the Tourism Board informs you that the website pages aim to provide you with information about our municipality, the events being organized, make available the information established in the Transparency Law, public access to information, and good governance, as well as the possibility of carrying out the procedures available through our electronic headquarters.

The applicable legislation is the current laws on both security (ENS) and personal data protection (GDPR, LOPDGDD).

The Town Hall informs users of the aforementioned websites about the uses to which the personal data collected on the Website are subjected, so that they may decide freely and voluntarily whether or not they wish to provide the requested information.

The Town Hall reserves the right to modify this policy in order to adapt it to legislative updates, judicial criteria, sector practices, or the entity’s interests. Any changes to the policy will be announced in advance, so that you are fully informed about its content.

PURPOSE OF THE PROCESSING

The data you provide through the contact section will be processed to address your request. If you send us an email, we will also process the data to respond to your inquiry. The collection and processing of personal data through the various forms available on the electronic headquarters/procedures have different purposes, as indicated in the clauses found in the respective forms. These purposes include responding to your request, complaint, report, and, in general, managing the procedure you initiate through the electronic Site.

RETENTION PERIOD

The personal data provided will be retained for as long as necessary to manage your procedure, inquiry, suggestion, complaint, report, or, in the case of the newsletter, as long as the subscription remains active, unless you request deletion. After the procedure is completed, the data will be kept for the necessary period to comply with legal obligations or as long as a judge or court may require. Additionally, they may be retained for historical and general archival purposes. The retention period may be shorter in some cases, such as when the user withdraws consent or exercises their right to erasure.

LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING

The legitimacy for processing will depend on your request. When it is related to the functions of the Town Hall, it will be based on the exercise of public functions. When you make a request or subscribe to a service offered by the Town Hall, it will be based on your consent.

When the request is related to compliance with a legal obligation, the applicable regulation will be the legal basis for processing. When there is a contract between you and the Town Hall, the contractual relationship will be the basis for processing. When legitimacy is based on consent, it will be provided through a clear affirmative act that reflects your voluntary, specific, informed, and unequivocal expression of willingness to accept the processing of personal data.

RECIPIENTS

The data may be transferred to other competent public bodies in compliance with current regulations. It may also be published on the Town Hall Transparency Portal in accordance with Law 19/2013 on Transparency, Public Access to Information, and Good Governance.

If you are acting through a representative, whether legal or voluntary, you must also provide a document certifying the representation and an identification document of the representative.

Furthermore, if you believe your right to personal data protection has been violated, you may contact the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
